Get the Clutter out!

Dear readers,

I found this great quote by Eleanor Brown ” Clutter is not just physical things; its old ideas, toxic relationships, and bad habits. Clutter is anything that does not support your better self.”

Toxic people are those individual who walk around with a dark cloud over their heads, nagging, complaining and being negative these people can drain the life out of you. CLUTTER!

Mental clutter in the form of old ideas and myths that are meant to keep people stalled in old ways of doing things or myths that serves as untruth. Think about that people are saying to you and the intentions behind the words.

Question. Are you paying attention to the Clutter in your life? What are you going to do to clean out, get rid of the clutter in your home, removing toxic people ( wife, husband, children, co-workers, church members, friends ). What about all those useless ideas that only serves the purpose of holding you back from creating new ideas.  Come on lighten the load so that you can clear the way to receive good people and situations in your life.

Ten Ridiculous Relationship Myths

Dear Readers,

If you are now joining my blog  a few days ago a light bulb went off in my head. I’ve decided to create a You Tube channel, my own little talk show called Conversations from my Couch. This is an open forum to talk about every day issues, like relationships, women empowerment, health and fitness, political topics, and education. I am going to have fun, but be serious when I need to be. I just want to talk to the PEOPLE. so let me hear from you.

This segment comes to you courtesy of my very, very good friend Sara. She agreed to do an impromptu talk about some relationships myths. Sit Back and have Fun.

Judging the book by its color

Dear readers,

There are many misconceptions that are vocalized about black men, some of these myths come directly from black people themselves. We are told that black men don’t take care of their children, are drug dealers, and thugs. They lack ambition, cheap, financially bankrupt, don’t love sistahs, dishonest, thieves, murders, uneducated, loser, and project rats. They are on the down low, cheaters, and are still slaves to the white man. What say you about these educated, well read, self-motived, demonstrating proper etiquette young black men? I happened upon them looking through the carts of free books at BMCC. No one bribed them or promised them a reward for expanding their knowledge by reading. Take a good look at these black men. They are the next generation of Doctors, Layers, Scientist, Congressmen, Mayor, Governor, Educators, and Business men. Before lumping all black men in a barrel take a good look around, you might be amazed at what you see. I was.

THE WAIT IS OVER.

TWG Cover

Dear Readers:
“The Waiting Game” details the relationship myths that women hear about through the generations. Women are taught that men are not attracted to strong women, and that a woman’s primary role in society is to get the man and keep him interested. Women have to follow the rules of the game to be successful. Rule one, use prime bait. Rule two, catch the man. Rule three, keep the man no matter what characteristics he possesses. Any rules after that- the men play the rest of the game. Therefore, if this task is not completed—we fail as women.
